Heckmann Design Studio Gallery

Born in London in 2024, the Heckmann Design Studio Gallery emerged from a passion project within our architecture and interior design practice. The gallery was created as a place for engagement and conversation with artists, designers and fellow art enthusiasts.

We transformed a former bicycle shop just off Newington Green in London into an inspiring and intimate gallery space, honouring and preserving some of its quirky and charming original details. Passers-by are first met by the regularly changing shopfront display, but once inside the studio an unexpected discovery awaits on the lower ground floor.

This distinctive setting provides a compelling backdrop for the diverse works on display, which include textiles, photography, painting, furniture and more. Anna of Heckmann Design collaborates closely with each artist on the curation, ensuring a rewarding and inspiring experience that brings fresh perspectives to our studio, our local community in Islington and beyond.

We invite you to explore our carefully curated exhibitions, which connect visitors with the stories and processes behind the art and design objects. We also offer art advisory services and collaborate with galleries across Britain, Europe and beyond, helping clients source artworks for their projects.
